Confirmation
What is the Sacrament of Confirmation?
Confirmation is one of the sacraments of initiation into the Catholic faith. “Like Baptism which it completes, Confirmation is given only once, for it to imprints on the soul an indelible spiritual mark, the ‘character,’ which is the sign that Jesus Christ has marked a Christian with the seal of his Spirit by clothing him with power from on high so that he may be his witness.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1304)
What is the process for receiving Confirmation?
Jr. High
In order to receive the sacrament of Confirmation your child(ren) must be enrolled in our Jr. High program for two consecutive years. Confirmation preparation classes will be offered in the second year. There will be four classes that your child(ren) must attend (at times parents may be asked to participate as well). They will be held in the springtime. All kids are also expected to attend a retreat and receive the sacrament of reconciliation before the reception of Confirmation. Confirmation Mass will be offered in the fall. For more information, please contact the parish office.
